Reimagining Internal Systems: Service Design in High-Stakes Environments
Many organizations famous for pioneering their industry often operate on legacy internal systems and processes. This creates a critical gap between external innovation and internal capability. This talk examines Marijke's experience applying Service Design principles to initiate a digital transformation and drive organizational change. Using her work with the systems engineering culture at NASA's JPL as a central case study, she will illustrate how a bottom-up, user-focused methodology can succeed where traditional change management fails. Attendees will gain a new perspective on why even "rocket scientists" need new tools and mindsets to evolve from within.
